Campaigners hold up a sign that reads 'Until everybody understands #WAAW'.

What is World Autism Awareness Week?

We've come a long way in raising awareness about autism, but there's still more to be done until everyone understands. Only 16% of autistic adults are in full-time paid employment. All too often, employers don’t see ability - they see autism. We are here to change this.

That's why we are holding World Autism Awareness Week - a week of fundraising activities and events to help raise money to continue our life-changing work.

Why take part?

You can make a huge difference to the lives of over 700,000 autistic people by fundraising in your workplace, school, or your own way. We are here to transform lives, challenge perceptions and build a society that works for autistic people – and the money you raise will help do just that. Your fundraising has helped us gather knowledge from vital resources, spreading the word far and wide through ground-breaking campaigns like our Too Much Information employment campaign.

When does it take place?

World Autism Awareness Week takes place on 26 March - 2 April 2018.
