The Great North Run is officially confirmed as the world’s biggest half marathon! The hugely popular run starts in Newcastle city centre, over the iconic Tyne Bridge, with the swooping Red Arrows overhead and onwards to finish with the sea views in South Shields. With the best local support, and famed for its party atmosphere, this is a truly classic and fantastic challenge to take on!

What if I have my own place in the official Great North Run ballot?

If you've secured your own place in the Great North Run ballot. You can still run for The National Autistic Society and get all the perks of running with our supportive team – we would love to have you!

All you need to do is complete our online form, to let us know that you have received your own place and want to use it to run for #TeamAutism!

  • dedicated training support, with a comprehensive guide, including nutrition, kit and advice on avoiding injury
  • dedicated fundraising support from our Events Fundraising Assistant, John
